General Purpose Refrigerated Centrifuge 5920   In choosing a refrigerated centrifuge that can accept both the high-speed fixed angle rotor and swinging bucket rotor, the 5920 is highly recommended. The 5920 has a capability of meeting both requirements from clinical to reserch laboratorysettings. In addition to the same swing bucket rotors as those for 5910, the 5920 accepts 18 x micro-tubes at 12,000rpm and 13,200xg. In choosing a refrigerated centrifuge that is able to meet general-purpose applications requiring cooling, the 5920 is ideal. By exploiting its cooling capability, the 5920 can handle samples that are easily deactivated at normal temperature, thus saving valuable samples. Under the condition of ambient temperature of 25 °C, the 5920 can maintain samples at temperature as low as 4 °C with a wide variety of rotors at maximum spinning. If it is necessary to interchange rotors frequently, the 5920 model is a suitable choice. Accepting a tool-less rotor, the 5920 is a time saving unit which cuts down on experiment time. With the tool-less rotor, a standard hexagonal wrench key is not required, as the rotor features a special hand-fastener bolt on its top.
